On September 20, the Chinese Consulate-General in Gothenburg hosted an Open Day event for two local Chinese-learning associations in Gothenburg. Consul General Yang Peidong attended the event and delivered a speech, which was joined by over 70 teachers and students from both associations.

Consul General Yang stated that learning Chinese not only helps students understand Chinese history and culture, but also opens a window of opportunity for their future. He expressed his hope that the students would persevere in learning Chinese, master the language, and grow into ambassadors of friendly exchanges between China and Sweden.
During the event, young diplomats from the Consulate-General delivered a vivid and engaging lesson on Chinese geography, and screened short video clips highlighting China's technological advancements. Student representatives from both associations shared their travel experiences in China and performed cultural programs, including traditional folk dance and poetry recitations. The event also featured lively and interactive games, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter and excitement.
