On September 5, 2026, the Chinese Consulate-General in Gothenburg visited Chalmers University of Technology to carry out a "Consular Protection on Campus" event, delivering a lecture on consular protection to more than 100 newly enrolled Chinese students from both Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg.

Consul Guo Bohan, Head of the Consular and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, introduced general knowledge on consular protection and explained the typical traps of telecommunications fraud, illegal photography, and entry/exit obstructions. Vice Consul Zhi Cancan also attended the event.
