On August 28, 2026, at the invitation of the ship owner Furetank, Chinese Consul General in Gothenburg Yang Peidong attended the naming ceremony for FURE VASA, a new VINGA vessel that has just arrived in Europe from China. 

Consul General Yang talked cordially and gave his congratulations to Mr. Lars Höglund, the CEO of Furetank. He also exchanged views with a delegation from China Merchant Shipbuilding Group led by Mr. Zheng Hehui, the Vice General Manager of the group and the Chairman of the shipyard company Yangzhou Dingheng.

FURE VASA is the 18th vessel in the VINGA series built by Yangzhou Dingheng. During the ceremony, a new agreement for a order of 4 more VINGA vessels was announced by the two sides, bringing the total order to 26.
