On 28 March, Acting Consul General Li Xiaoquan visited World Maritime University, and met with President Prof. Max Mejia and Chinese Chair Prof. Dong Cheng, in Malmö.

Prof. Max Mejia introduced the cooperation between WMU and Chinese universities and research institutions, as well as the study of Chinese scholars and students at the university. Acting Consul General Li said that China attaches great importance to the ocean protection and the marine economy. The Consulate General is willing to facilitate mutually beneficial cooperation between WMU and China, and hopes that their collaborative research will yield more substantive results in the future.
