On 16 June, the Consulate General and the Sichuan Provincial Government jointly held Sichuan (China) Automotive Industry Matchmaking and Exchange Event at the Swedish Exhibition and Conference Center. Li Wenqing, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, Yang Peidong, Consul General of China in Gothenburg, Baerte De Brey, Vice President of the E-Mobility Europe, and Maria Leffler, Head of International Relations at the Business Region Göteborg attended and delivered speeches. 

In his speech, Consul General Yang introduced the development of China's new energy vehicle industry. He hoped that China and Sweden would strengthen industrial cooperation, achieve more mutual benefit and progress, and together contribute to the green transition of transportation industry and the response to global climate change.

More than 40 representatives of Chinese, Swedish and other foreign enterprises attended the event.  A signing ceremony for cooperation program between enterprises was held.
