New Requirements for "HS/HDC" Application for Travelling to China

To reduce cross-border transmission of COVID19, starting from 24th February, 2021, the Embassy of China in Sweden will make the following adjustments regarding "HS/HDC" application requirements for passengers travelling to China:

1. The Chinese Embassy in Sweden will no longer issue "HS/HDC" for passengers travelling to China from Sweden via a third country. Passengers travelling to China from Sweden should take direct flights from Sweden to China.

2. Passengers should take direct flights to China from the original departing countries where direct flights are available, and should not transit via Sweden. The Chinese Embassy in Sweden will no longer issue "HS/HDC" for passengers from countries where direct flights to China are available.

3. Passengers travelling to China from the original departing countries with no direct flight to China should first apply for "HS/HDC" at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the original departing countries and apply for "HS/HDC" at the Chinese Embassy in Sweden or Consulate-General in Gothenburg after obtaining the negative test certificates of the nucleic acid and IgM antibody serum tests within 48 hours before boarding when transiting via Sweden. "HS/HDC" will no longer be issued by the Chinese Embassy in Sweden and Consulate-General in Gothenburg to those who have not tested and obtained "HS/HDC" in the original departing countries.

4. Passengers travelling to China from Sweden should upload their itinerary, residence certificates, visas,valid information page of passport, nucleic acid and anti-body tests reports by designated agency, COVID-19 Vaccination certificate, Letter of Commitment on Vaccination (attached)  and other documents as required. If the above requirements are not met, you may not obtain "HS/HDC" that is required to board the flight. Travel delays and economic losses caused by non-compliance shall be borne by the applicants.Foreign passengers can apply for green health declaration code with the "HDC" mark by logging on the website of http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ via computer or smart phone.

5. Passengers that were infected or have tested positive in any of PCR, IgM or IgG tests need to provide a diagnosis report with lung CT or X-ray scan issued by a local hospital, as well as two PCR negative test results (with at least 24 hours in between) and upload the reports to the website of http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ via computer or smart phone within 3days for confirming. If the applicant belongs to the above groups, the applicant, after providing the relevant documents, needs to self-quarantine for 14 days and monitor health conditions. "HS/HDC" will then be issued to those that can provide negative results of NAT and IgM tests taken 48 hours before boarding.
